Hi,
My name is Dave Bowles. I have always had a passion for steam railways. Unfortunately, I never had a camera in my younger days, so I missed photographing steam on the big railway.
I started working as a volunteer on the Bluebell Railway in 1994 in the Permanent Way Department. This gave me ample opportunities for photography, often from privileged positions. Over the years my photographic interest has grown to what it is now. I visit other railways, sometimes on an exchange visit, sometimes as a visitor. I also go on photographic charters; this gives greater control on the content of the pictures I take.
I have grouped my pictures in regions or type; this is very loose but seemed better than just putting everything in one big batch. I hope you enjoy what you see, websites are new to me but I hope to add and expand on a regular basis. Bookmark me and please return.
